Gen 4: Shiny Hunting Ekans

It has been a few weeks since the last Gen 4 update, so I wanted to let you know what I have been up to! The next video update will be released on November 30, 2024.
Decided that I wanted a shiny Ekans since Arbok is AWESOME. At the Game Corner in Goldenrod City, you can purchase an Ekans for 700 coins. With 3500 coins, you can buy 5 which really helps increase the encounter rate in finding a shiny. With each reset, I can get essentially 5 encounters!
You cannot buy coins in the Game Corner, you must play the game. The game was difficult at first since I didn’t understand the strategy. A video on YouTube helped me understand the strategy and provided some tips in my decision making. I started to enjoy playing the game because it involved strategy with probabilities. After playing for hours I finally had enough coins to buy 5 Ekans!
I have been spending most of my free time shiny hunting Ekans. I usually do not keep track of the encounters/resets however I am this time. Each tally mark in my notebook is 5 encounters or 1 reset. I am at about 1000 resets or 5000 encounters in. Hope we find the shiny soon! I also plan on EV training Arbok in attack and speed so it can be strong!
That shiny is incredible! I’m sure the follower sprite will look amazing too. Excited to see what moves you give it. Best of luck on the hunt!
